Adetunji graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Osun State Nigeria in 1992 with Bsc.(Accounting). He began his career in insurance company at Nigerian-French Insurance Co. Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria in 1994. He worked with Industrial Projects Int’l Nig. Ltd., Lagos Nigeria in 1999 and latter joined Nigerian Life & Pensions Cons. Ltd. In 2002. He qualified as an associate member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1996 and was admitted a Fellow of the Institute in 2008. He was admitted as Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) in 2000, Associate Member of Chartered Institued of Stock Brokers (ACIS) in 2004, Associate Member of Nigerian Institue of Management in 1997 and Student member of Chartered Institue of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and Student member of Chartered Institued of Insurance of Nigeria. Adetunji  obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria in 1998.
